eCommerce Director


We are looking for an individual that is passionate about maximizing customer experience on the company website. Someone who is exceptionally organized, data focused and creative that can work well in a team environment. This role reports to the CMO.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with a creative mindset, they enjoy getting to the granular levels of detail on each as it applies to succeeding in their field. They care deeply about the customer journey and are passionate about testing and iterating in order to find efficiency gains at every stage of the funnel. Lastly, we are looking for a team player as comfortable doing the detailed work as they are capable of developing long-term strategy, vision and meaningful change.

What you will do:

  • Lead the ECommerce planning process which drives sales and promotes innovative customer experiences to exceed revenue goals
  • Identify, recommend, and take advantage of emerging technologies which drive efficiencies and business impact
  • Identify and improve on our analytics tools to increase business profitability – consistently focusing on conversion rate optimization, improvement in AOV, Web Speed and more
  • Lead a Digital Analytics process that drives intelligent decisions with the business identifying opportunities and threats
  • Set performance objectives and fine-tune KPIs - develop daily, weekly, monthly site KPI targets and manage ecommerce spends accordingly
  • Constantly be in step with industry evolution in order to pivot quickly and efficiently to adapt and overcome barriers and drive ongoing growth
  • Manage online activity in relation to traffic acquisition, sales, conversion and a/b testing and reporting
  • Create a customer experience plan with metrics across all customer touch points and manage e-commerce site merchandising as well as web development needs to maximize this experience
  • Set the standard for fast A/B testing, experimentation, and iteration to continuously improve user experience efforts and performance
  • Manage external agency partners
  • Quickly catch bugs/issues and act urgently to address
Who you are:
  • 7+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Marketing/Web Design & Development preferred
  • Shopify Expert
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and digital design
  • Strong integration skills in building a marketing tech stack
  • Strong combination of data-informed and creative, knowing how to effectively balance the two to achieve results
  • Highly collaborative with a passion for analytics, innovative marketing, and creative excellence
  • Excellent understanding of online retail and user experience
  • Strong analytical skills and a technical can-do attitude
  • Ability to balance short-term gains with long-term impact. Ability to foresee the long-term impact of those short-term gains and properly utilize that knowledge to determine the appropriate next steps
  • Must be detail-oriented and possess superior organization skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a sense of urgency
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • A natural eye for detail and visual aesthetics is required
  • Must be results-oriented and driven to succeed
